PORTUGUESE WINE TASTING: Thursday, September 30 is the date confirmed for The Stag's next wine tasting evening!  The Portuguese wines and special accompanying menu will be overseen by The Stag's very own expert - our Portuguese head chef, Mani Rebelo.  Expect declicious fresh Portuguese dishes from Mani's family recipes to accompany the region's best wines.  The Stag's wine tasting events have a habit of selling out quickly so reserve your table now.  Register your interest by calling 01296 668 423 and asking for Nigel, The Stag's restaurant manager.

UPDATED: Wine Tasting News:
The New Zealand wine tasting evening next Thursday, June 17 is now SOLD OUT.  Ensure you don't miss out on the next wine tasting due to take place in October/November (date yet to bet set).  Next time we will be showcasing wines from Portugal - the home country of our head chef, Mani Rebelo - expect an accompanying set menu full of delicious traditional dishes!  (Further details will follow in due course.  To register your interest for this upcoming event, please call Nigel on 01296 668 423).

IMPORTANT CLOSURE NOTICE: The Stag will be closed from May 17-20 inclusive to allow for necessary refurbishment works to be carried out in the kitchen and bar. We apologise for any inconvenience - the restaurant, kitchen and pub will reopen on Friday, May 21 for business as usual.

Due to the fantastic success of the South African wine tasting evening in January, The Stag is has confirmed it's next wine tasting for Thursday, June 17 - the country of choice is New Zealand! Get set for some exquisite and world famous wines from 'the land of the long white cloud' complemented by some traditional Kiwi dishes.  This event is almost sold out, to reserve one of the final places, call Nigel on 01296 668 423

 a Sunday, but to ensure you can still enjoy a romantic dinner, The 
 Stag's sumptuous Valentine's Day menu will be available on the
 evening of Saturday, Feb 13 AND for Sunday lunch on Feb 14.
